Impressive world SBK debut for Máté Számadó this weekend at the Autódromo de Most circuit.
Supported by our JRP Academy, the 16 year old Hungarian rider got the opportunity to compete for the GP Project Kawasaki team in the world Super Sport 300 category. Outperforming anyone’s expectations, he managed to improve both his lap time and positioning session by session, culminating with a P17 in Saturday’s Superpole qualifying. Due to some understandable nerves and getting caught up in other peoples incidents, Máté dropped down the 44 rider field to finish the two races in still very respectable 34th and 32nd positions.
Számadó commented on the weekend: “Being able to compete in Most and race against the best of the world was an absolute dream come true. Thanks to JRP Academy for their help getting me here and giving me the opportunity to show my potential on this stage. I am proud to be the first rider representing JRP Management in this world championship paddock, but I am sure I will not be the last.”
Big thanks at this point also from our side to GP Project squad for supporting Máté during the event, we wish them and their riders Alex Carrion and Alexandro Zanca a successful second half of the season.
We would also like to congratulate Máté again on his outstanding performance, proving he can keep up with the best in the world. We look forward to following your progress more closely in the future!
