After a highside at turn 11, followed by extensive hospital visits, Alex has been cleared with several torn and stretched muscles, whiplash and severe bruising in his right leg and lower body.

Otherwise, likely thanks to his airbag vest supplied by Helite, rider ok.

After day two he started taking his first steps again with the aid of crutches, but still under the influence of heavy pain medication.

This puts into doubt the moto2 ride that was scheduled to take place at the Red Bull Ring on Thursday the 16th, just a week away.
